Porky Scribbles

Here are some scribbles to keep you guys entertained. They are for Lesson 7 "Create Your Own Pose" Just trying to get the right proportions and a natural looking pose.

Here they are.

Guess what director I was thinking about when I drew this one.

Lesson 7 With P-P-Porky

Here is my Lesson 7 "When Generic Is A Good Thing", and seeing as how I've already studied Tom and Jerry, I wanted to draw some Warner Bros. I found some Porky pics on the internet to study for the first couple, and then I grabbed a bunch of screenshots from my copy of "Kitty Kornered," by Bob Clampett. Those were a lot of fun, especially since that is one of my favorite episodes, and one of my favorite directors. In the middle of this lesson, life got in the way and I had to postpone my lessons, but now I'mmmm bbbbaaaack.

Here was the long break from the lessons, but I think they are getting better than ever.

And here are all of the attempts

Tell me what you think, and I'd love to hear some critiques. The worst part about training your eye to see all of the little details, is my drawings are starting to look worse and worse to me (especially when put next to the original). But on their own the are starting to look pretty decent.

Holy Canoly, It's Been A While!

I have been posting anything lately, because I haven't really had the time for the last couple of months. Snowboarding, work , friends and family have been getting in the way. That's not to say that I haven't been drawing, I just haven't been sitting down and doing my lessons (you naughty boy you).

Hopefully I will finish lesson 7 to my satisfaction, because I left off with like twelve beautiful drawings of Porky Pig from Clampett's "Kitty Kornered". Still want to become a better cartoonist, I just don't enough time. Enough babbling, hopefully I can finish a lesson.

Lesson 5a - Hands, Folks!

This is my try at this lesson, and I like drawing hands. There are so many subtle curves and if you get them right, they can look beautiful. Still think I have a lot to learn with hands, but tell me what you think.
