Lesson 4 Re-Post

Here are my Lesson 4 drawings side-by-side with the Preston Blair originals, for better comparison. I guess that I will post my drawings with the side-by-side comparison, instead of the overlay from now on.

Full Bodied Lesson 4

Now here was a lesson that I could really sink my teeth into. Drawing the full character is just so much more fulfilling than just a head. The main point that I learned was to make sure the line of action was correct, because if the line of action was right, the drawing would be really close. Another thing that I noticed was that I tend to draw hands smaller than they need to be.

New Animation Out

Well here's my newest animation. Just got an Intuos3 for my b-day from my girlfriend, so I had to play around with that. This is what has been taking my time away from the Cartoon College, but it's done so now it's time to jump back into the lesson.

Check it out at Newgrounds.

Vote for it and tell me if you like it.

Snow and Boarding

Recently, I twisted my ankle while carrying a large piece of wood. Then sure enough, the snow fell fast and heavy. In about 16 hours, we received 16 inches of snow. So, I have been babying my ankle around, but then the last two days I went and hiked Bridger. Boy, did it feel good to get back on my snowboard. Then yesterday, it snowed about 6 more inches, so the ride down was phenomenal. If life lets me, I'll be able to hike up once more before Thanksgiving, but if not the lifts will be opening soon. I can't wait.

This lesson was definatly more fun than the first one, because we are drawing fuller characters and not generic eggs. I didn't put as much effort in as lesson one, but then again the shapes were coming to me easier.

Here they are, so enjoy.
